Biography

Making the switch across to the Sky Blue from perhaps our biggest rivals Melbourne Victory, Kosta Barbarouses is one of the most profilic goal scorers in the history of the Hyundai A-League, netting 54 goals across his career.

Having also played for Brisbane Roar and Wellington Pheonix, Barbarouses has been troubling defences across the League for 10 years now with his silky feet and keen eye for goal. Kosta is also a New Zealand international, having made 47 appearances for the national team since 2008, scoring 4 goals along the way.

Barbarouses has won two Hyundai A-League Premierships and three Hyundai A-League Grand Finals, as well as winning the FFA Cup with Melbourne in 2015. He has also picked up a number of individual awards including the Mark Viduka Medal in 2015 (player of the match in the FFA Cup), Wellington Pheonix Player of the Season 2015/16 and has also been named in the PFA A-League Team of the Season in both the 2010/11 season and the 2015/16 season.
