Alex joins us from cross city rivals Western Sydney Wanderers where he was their Marquee player for the 2018/19 season. Alex, a German native, has a fantastic pedigree having played for some of the biggest clubs in Germany including Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 where he started off his professional career, making his debut for the first team at the age of 18.
Alex made two appearances for the German U-21 national team side where he played alongside the likes of Mesut Ozil, Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels and a host of other world class German players.
Alex, an attacking midfielder, is known for his fantastic technical ability and making killer passes in the attacking third. He is tipped to link up well with Sydney FC’s attacking prowess which includes Milos Ninkovic, Adam le Fondre and new singing Kosta Barbourses.
