biography-icon Biography
Since making a huge impact on the NSL for Sydney Marconi, Brosque tried his luck in Europe in 2005, signing for Feyenoord, where he was loaned out to Belgian side Westerlo. He struggled with an ankle injury, making only 16 appearances, and eventually returned to Australia for the start of the new A-League, joining the Queensland Roar in 2005. His A-League career was highly successful, joining Sydney FC in 2006 and becoming one of the teams key strikers for the next few years. He made a move back overseas in 2011 and enjoyed a very successful first season in Japan with goals galore at Shimizu before moving to Al Ain in the UAE Pro League. Back as the Sky Blues Australian Marquee on a two year deal, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2015/16 Hyundai A-League season, Brosque was named Captain by Head Coach Graham Arnold and guided the Sky Blues to the Hyundai A-League 2015 Grand Final. Brosque lead the Sky Blues again in the 2015/16 season after being named as a member of Sydney FC's Team of the Decade. Brosque re-signed with the Sky Blues ahead of the 2016/17 season and went on to guide the Sky Blues to the Premiership and Championship double in record breaking fashion. He led the Sky Blues again in season 2017/18, picking up another Premiership medal and a FFA Cup winners medal.
