Young Sky Blues Revel In Clinics

The next generation of Sky Blues are well and truly taking part in Sydney FC’s Holiday Clinics, with club captain Alex Brosque and marquee Filip Holosko having their children registered as participants.

Brosque’s eldest daughter Christina took part in our Summer Holiday Clinics, embarking on the start of her footballing journey at Macquarie University, while Holosko registered daughters Sophie and Claudia at our Spring Clinics in September.

The Sky Blues’ captain said his daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Macquarie University Summer Holiday Clinic.

“She’d been wanting to get into football for a while now and I thought the Sydney FC clinics would be a good way to ease her into it,” Brosque said.

“I’ve seen the Clinics at Macquarie for a few years now, I’ve seen how well they’re run and how well the kids are looked after and I thought it was the perfect place to start her off.

“She absolutely loved it, she couldn’t enjoy it more,” he continued.

“She was up before me every morning with her kit on already, waking me up, asking when it was time to go and take her. She cherished every minute of it.”

Holosko said it was his daughters watching him play that sparked their interest in wanting to take part in the Clinics.

“They like the football and they love Sydney FC,” Holosko said.

“They watch every game. When we play at home they come to Allianz Stadium and when we’re away they watch on the TV.

“I told them about the Holiday Clinics and if they wanted I’d take them there to train with the children, they went and they loved it.”

Sydney FC’s Holiday Clinics will return for the Easter school break with venues and dates to be confirmed. Visit sydneyfc.com/community to stay up to date.
