The Socceroo says the form the team has been in stems from their last trip to AAMI Park when the drew 2-2 with Melbourne Victory.
“I think from the Melbourne Victory game we really have turned it around.
“I think we played well in patches during the season,” Carle continued. “If we had a good game it was a really good game but the consistency didn-t follow.
“But I feel in the past 5 games we-ve been really consistent and even where we didn-t pick up points, I thought we played really well.
“If you look at our form I-m really confident going into this game.”
Sydney may need to break Carle-s own 3 goal record against the Heart, if they are to come away with the points.
The midfield international is the only Sydney FC player to score against them since they came into the A-League at the beginning of last season.
“I only heard that this morning,” he said. “I-m actually due for a goal as I-ve been quite unlucky in the last few weeks!!
“But it-s just another stat, we-ve got plenty of players who can score goals. Obviously I like to chip in when I can.”
Sydney FC face Melbourne Heart in a 7.45pm kick off at AAMI Park on Saturday night and will know what they need to do to keep alive their finals hopes as the Newcastle Jets face Brisbane Roar earlier in the day.
