The regular season is done and dusted, now it’s all about delivering when it matters as the Westfield W-League 2018/19 Finals Series gets underway on Sunday.

And both Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC know exactly what finals football is all about, having won four Championships and five Premierships between them in the competition’s history.

Of course, all that means very little ahead of Sunday’s do-or-die Semi Final at Dolphin Stadium in Redcliffe. It’s all about which side can produce on the day.

For Roar, they were in a similar position this time last season, hosting a Semi Final for a chance to make the decider.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the job done against Melbourne City and they bowed out one game short of the big dance, something they will be desperate to avoid this time around.

While they finished the regular season in second spot – one point and one place ahead of the Sky Blues – they bring patchy form into this one.

Mel Andreatta’s side won two and lost two of their last four games of the regular season, including a last-minute 1-0 defeat against Adelaide United.

But Sydney FC were also beaten in Round 14, falling 2-0 to Melbourne City, and will have to lift their performance to advance into the Grand Final.

Consistency has been an issue for Ante Juric’s side all season. At their best, they have been simply sensational, but when they don’t produce they can be vulnerable.

It will be interesting to see which Sydney FC team turns up on Sunday.

They do at least head north having enjoyed two wins over Roar this season, a 5-1 drubbing back in December, followed by a 3-1 win in Queensland just three weeks ago.
