The Week Ahead: Wollongong & Jubilee Play Hosts

Here’s your handy guide to what’s in store for Sky Blues across seven days, including a mid-week Westfield W-League clash in Wollongong, and our final Hyundai A-League game at Jubilee Stadium for the season.

 

MONDAY
The Hyundai A-League squad return to training as they prepare for Sunday’s home clash against Melbourne City, going through a light session following their return from Melbourne on Sunday.

The Sky Blues’ Westfield W-League squad have Monday off following their return also from Melbourne on Sunday, before setting their sights on Thursday night’s clash in Wollongong.

The Sky Blues’ Foxtel Y-League side are also off, having completed their season on Sunday. The squad will enjoy a few days off before resuming training ahead of the NPL NSW Men’s 1 season commencing in March.

It’s also a very happy birthday to marquee man Siem de Jong, as he celebrates his 30th birthday with cake after training.

TUESDAY
It’s an early start for the Sky Blues’ Westfield W-League squad, as they enjoy a morning training session at Macquarie University Sports Fields.

W-League star Caitlin Foord will then meet Football South Coast junior players in her home town as she addresses media at WIN Stadium, Wollongong.

Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League squad are off.

WEDNESDAY
Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League squad have the day off, as they rest and recover before build up starts for Sunday’s encounter against Melbourne City at Jubilee Stadium.

The Sky Blues’ Westfield W-League squad will enjoy an evening session at Macquarie University sports field, fine tuning their preparations on Matchday -1.

THURSDAY
It’s Game Day for our Westfield W-League stars! They travel to WIN Stadium, Wollongong for their final regular season clash against Melbourne City (kick off 7:30pm AEDT).

Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League squad return to training, kicking off at their usual time of 11am, as they begin their preparations for Sunday’s Round 17 encounter.

Behind the scenes, Sydney FC’s men will take part in their annual photoshoot ahead of the AFC Champions League kicking off in March, while it’s also Foxtel E-League draft day as we find out which third competitor will represent the Sky Blues this season.

FRIDAY
Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League squad continue their preparations for Sunday with training at 11am, while for the Sky Blues’ Westfield W-League stars they’re off following their exertions in Wollongong on Thursday.

SATURDAY
It’s Matchday -1 for the Sky Blues as they finish their build up for Sunday’s Round 17 Hyundai A-League encounter against Melbourne City at Jubilee Stadium. 

SUNDAY
It’s Game Day in the Hyundai A-League for your Sky Blues, as we face Melbourne City at Jubilee Stadium in our final regular season A-League clash in Kogarah (kick off 5pm AEDT).
