Sydney FC shot stopper Vedran Janjetovic went from strength to strength in the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season, endearing himself to the Sky Blues faithful with a number of sharp saves.

After playing only 16 matches in the 2012/13 season, the Croatian born goalkeeper managed to play every minute of every match this season (2430 in 27 games), making him one of only three Sydney FC players to remain ever presents.

Janjetovic-s willingness to get involved saw the 26 year old have the fourth highest number of touches in the team (1121) and his distribution from the back was the key to a number of Sydney FC attacking opportunities.

Facing 375 shots throughout the regular season Janjetovic made a league high 91 saves and finished the season with a save percentage of 70.5% having conceded 38 goals.

The gloveman kept five clean sheets with undoubtedly his highlight being the diving save to deny Mark Bridge from the spot in the third Sydney Derby of the season in front of 40,285 fans at Allianz Stadium.

Janjetovic-s only honours to date are the inaugural Premiership and Championship he claimed with the Sky Blues National Youth League squad in the 2008/09 season, however his impressive performances this year have earned him a new two year deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2015/16 season.
