HEAD COACH – Andrea Russo:

“Andrea has been with the Academy since Day One, spending the first year as Assistant Coach of the Under 14 team. During that season, Andrea demonstrated all the qualities required of a Head Coach and was handed the role of U13 Head Coach for 2016/17. He is calm, methodical and truly passionate about developing the full potential of all our young Sky Blues.

“As well as holding the FFA C Licence, Andrea has a degree in Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science). He therefore has a strong background in important areas such as nutrition and recovery; Andrea was a major contributor to the production of the Academy’s ‘Looking After Yourself’ manual for players.

“He has previously worked with several clubs in NSW as well as the FNSW Institute Program.” – words by Academy Director Kelly Cross.
