Sydney FC centre half Tiago Calvano is hoping to put in another water-tight performance in the defence at Allianz Stadium this Saturday night, and reward another big crowd with a win over Melbourne Victory.

The Sky Blues have a healthy league position after the 2-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners but they know one slip up could cost them dearly.

“The result was very important for us but now we have to keep working,” said the Brazilian after Tuesday-s training session.

“Every game is a final for us and we still have three games. We-re focused on Melbourne Victory now.”

The game is Sydney FC-s final home game of the regular season with another crowd of more than 20 thousand Members and fans expected.

And with arch-rivals Melbourne Victory in town it will make for an electric evening.

“I-ve played in some games with a great atmosphere. We hope this weekend will be another game like that with a full house,” said Tiago.

“We need the support from the fans. They are our 12th player because they always support us and are always behind us. We need their help and we play for them.”

Head Coach Frank Farina could have a difficult decision to make in defence, with Socceroos skipper Lucas Neill hoping to return after a calf injury but the Sky Blues returning a clean sheet against the Mariners.

“That-s his headache not mine,” said the centre back. “But it doesn-t matter who plays, we will play good and try to do the best to get a result.”
