Sydney FC-s inaugural Vitezslav Lavicka Clubman of the Year, Terry McFlynn, has dedicated his trophy to the man the award is named after.
McFlynn picked up the honour at Sydney FC-s Sky Blue Ball awards night, having been put forward by his former coach.
“I-d just like to thank Vitezslav Lavicka for nominating me for this award,” said McFlynn.
“It-s been said already tonight, Vitja was a true gentleman of football, he was a true gentleman both on and off the pitch and I-m sure I speak for everyone when I say he-s left and unshakable impression on everyone in this room.”
McFlynn won the award for his work in the Community and his leadership in helping the football department embrace the significant increase in the Community Program.
The Sydney FC captain received the most votes from club management.
