Today we’re looking at the stats of Westfield W-League defender Natalie Tobin.
Tasked with playing both in the centre of defence in a defensive midfield position, Natalie Tobin played all but one game in Season 2019/20, becoming an unsung star of the Sky Blues’ squad.
In defence, Tobin made 22 clearances, three blocks and eight interceptions, while also winning 63.6% of her tackles in a number of solid performances.
From her deep-lying midfield role, Tobin finished the season with a 85.6% passing accuracy, while also making two crosses from open play and one key pass.
Perhaps her crowning glory of the season, Tobin ensured she’d dominate highlight reels for future seasons as she scored one of the goals of the competition, a long range effort against Melbourne Victory at Ethiad Stadium in her only goal of the year.
