Goalkeeping coach Zeljko Kalac says Sydney-s players must fight for each other at Brisbane Roar on Saturday, if they-re to pull off another win over the reigning champions.

Sydney-s 2-0 win at Kogarah in November saw the Roar lose their 36 game unbeaten streak, and is seen by many as the Sky Blues best performance this season.

Spider believe they need to re-produce it this Saturday.

“Team unity is fantastic and I think that was the match that team unity really stood out. Everyone fought for each other.

“For me 11 players on the pitch were fantastic and the players who came off the bench were fantastic.

“Hopefully we can back that up with the same performance. If we play for 90 minutes we-ll be very, very competitive.”

The former Socceroo has also backed keeper Liam Reddy after conceding 11 goals in four games.

“I think he-s actually playing well. The Melbourne Heart game – I think he-s got over that – and I think he showed that last week against Central Coast, but he needs to continue his form and he needs some more help from his colleagues on the park,” said the former AC Milan stopper.

“It-s easy to point the finger at a goalkeeper and back four when you concede so many goals but we all know it-s not about certain players it-s about the whole group.

“If the whole group don-t perform and support each other, players get exposed and that-s what-s been happening lately. I think you-ll see if we play as a team that won-t happen.”
