Sydney FC defender Pascal Bosschaart arrived early at the Sydney FC offices eagerly awaiting the live #SydneyFanChat. From the very start his natural competitiveness was evident as he was keen to answer more than Head Coach Ian Crook (46). On completion Bosschaart answered 10 more Member and Fan questions than Crooky, totalling a massive 56 question during the 60 minutes.

This initiative will become a fortnightly engagement for Sky Blue Members and Fans to interact with Sydney FC players, coaches and staff. In two weeks (Aug 1) we will be back with another current Sky Blues player!

Nathan Blume: What did you really say to Berisha? Make sure you give him a proper SFC welcome next year!
#SydneyFanChat That’s a good question. I said to him that I didn’t like him.
Andrew French: ?How do you compare the @ALeague to the Eredivese??
#SydneyFanChat The A-League is the same at the Dutch Eredivisie, however the A-league is a bit more physical.
Andrew French: Are you looking more forward to FTT or the Sydney Derby?
#SydneyFanChat Looking forward to both games, especially the Sydney derby as there are a few of my ex-team mates playing!
Marcus D: Pascal, any chance of getting the more of the players onto twitter?
#SydneyFanChat Last year we lost Scott, I am going to get more players onto Twitter. Adam Griffiths has just joined @AdamGriffo8
Marcus D: What was your impression of the A-League and Australia before you came here.. did it change after you played?
#SydneyFanChat I had no impression of it because we don’t get it on TV in Holland and I was pretty surprised (in a good way).
Marcus D: What team do you look forward to playing most?
#SydneyFanChat I look forward to playing the Western Sydney Wanderers!
Dane Anthony: Boss, how are you going to feel playing against old team mates in the Sydney derby?
#SydneyFanChat It’s always special to play former team mates and I’m looking forward to playing against Megzi – Beauchamp
Dane Anthony: If u scored your 1st ever professional goal with @SydneyFC who would it be against & what would be your dream way of scoring?
#SydneyFanChat Score against Brisbane at home, a long distance shot, 89min, 1-0 win and when I do I will run into the Cove!
James Wray: Hey pascal how’s the injury? And will you back for preseason friendlies? There the only games I can make

Dane Anthony: What’s the most Australian thing you’ve been doing ever since you’ve come to live here?

James Wray: Hey pascal which signing do you think has been the most impressive at training so far?
#SydneyFanChat I haven’t trained yet with them because I’ve been doing recovery in the gym but I’ve heard all of them are good.
Marcus D: Pascal, what is your opinion on Vegemite?

Phillip Stama: Rumour is Berisha will be joining us next season. What are your thoughts?
#SydneyFanChat To be honest he is a great Striker, if he is joining us I would welcome him.
Marcus D: How does the atmosphere at Allianz Stadium compare to the atmosphere in the Eredivisie (excluding clubs like Ajax, PSV etc.)?
#SydneyFanChat The crowd is less in the Allianz Stadium but they make just as much noise. Let-s get a full stadium this year!
Chris: Hey Pascal, Are you going to put Mark Bridge on his backside during the first derby?
#SydneyFanChat I am probably going to do that. On the field he is my opponent and off the field he is a great bloke.

Alex Wain : Which areas of your game do you think have improved since you joined @SydneyFC?
#SydneyFanChat Difficult question!! I think my touch on the ball – the right moment to slow down the play. I’m not so aggressive anymore
Daniel King: If you could only win one, would you rather beat MVFC or WSWFC?
#SydneyFanChat I would prefer to beat Victory because there is more of a rivalry at this point in time.

#SydneyFanChat I think it’s good to have more teams in the A-League and they have some good players.

Marcus D: When are you aiming to be back and playing? Is Round 1 possible or a few weeks into the season?
#SydneyFanChat Round 1 is possible as everything is going to plan. Hopefully back in training a few weeks before that.
Jordan Lo Russo: Of all the younger lads coming through at Sydney, who do you think we should look out for the most?
#SydneyFanChat Terry Antonis, I think Terry is the best young player I have ever seen.
Joey Ratcliffe: What should I say to football fans who don’t watch A-League to get them down to watch Sydney play this season?
#SydneyFanChat Tell them there is no better day out for the family and a lot our game get settled in the last few minutes!
Marcus D: If you had to pick 3 people to have over for dinner, who would they be and what would you make?
#SydneyFanChat At this moment I would choose my Dad, Mum & Jim Carrey and I would make some Dutch food.
Alex Wain: What makes @SydneyFC fans different in your mind, from the supporters of your previous clubs?
