Sydney FC Head Coach Ian Crook spent an hour this afternoon on Twitter answering Members and Fans most favoured questions #SydneyFanChat. Crooky smashed the record set by CEO Tony Pignata (37) two weeks ago, by answering 46 questions!

This initiative will become a fortnightly engagement for Sky Blue Members and Fans to interact with Sydney FC players, coaches and staff and in two weeks we will be back with a current Sky Blues player!

Here is a transcript of the 46 questions, with Crooky-s answers.

Troy Wynen: Has any move for a new striker/s been made?
#SydneyFanChat Continuing to look through DVDs and moving positively towards bringing in 2 quality attacking players

BG™:? What kind of players are you looking at to fill the remaining spots in the squad?
#SydneyFanChat Looking for players to play either wide or central in the front third

Andrew French: Are invited open training sessions going to happen? Would love to watch some
#SydneyFanChat Yes part of our plan – keep an eye on the Sydney FC Website!

[m.d]: Has the club got any triallists lined up for when the boys return to training later in the month?
#SydneyFanChat I am continuing to look at players playing in local State League Comps & will be inviting players to train.

Nathan Blume: ?What signings are left to make and when are announcements likely. Do we have enough cover at CB?
#SydneyFanChat In the front third, announcement soon. Petkovski, Griffiths, Pascal, Sherlock & Ryall are enough to cover the CB.

[m.d]: ?Are you bringing a similar playing philosophy across this year to last year-s NYL? Gr8 2 watch a lot of the time
#SydneyFanChat Yes very much so, trying to play out from the back.

Andrew French: As you know Petkovski, Mallia, Gligor and Chianese really well through the youth, what is their potential??
#SydneyFanChat They have the potential to be top players but there is hard work ahead for them to reach that potential

Andrew French: Which of the Youngsters has most potential?
#SydneyFanChat All the youngsters have potential, that is why we have signed them (don’t want to single anyone out).

David Lewis: Chippy, Can you please tell us what style/structure of football you will be looking at playing this season?
#SydneyFanChat We are looking to control games through possession and entertain the fans!

Alex Araujo: ? IC has said all the right things in terms of our football philosophy so why keep McFlynn? A-league’s least technical player.
#SydneyFanChat Terry is a valuable member of our Club and offers a lot to the squad.

Nick CPC Zantiras: What are the chances of Sherlock getting more of a run this season?
#SydneyFanChat Everyone despite age or standing will have an equal opportunity to play.

Dane Anthony: What are you looking for in a foreign player?
#SydneyFanChat I am looking for quality and technical ability in foreign players.

Dane Anthony: If you could say only 1 thing to the players before they went on the field, what would it be?
#SydneyFanChat Don’t have any regrets

NOTMironBleiberg: First Question – Do you think it’s time for a new laptop? #oldskool #isthatatypewriter?
#SydneyFanChat Borrowing Media Managers @masokicks laptop. Sorry to say he is still living in the 80s…

Daniel Harapa: Not asking for names but how-s a new striker signing coming along? Names would be good though!
#SydneyFanChat Hopefully will have an answer within the next few days, good try with the names question though.

Enrique: Are the new players coming on board forcing us to change our playing style?
#SydneyFanChat We are not the biggest team, so keeping it on the ground is our objective.

Karie: Who is your equipment manager and are they on Twitter? Curious about their job
#SydneyFanChat Joe Nuitta is our equipment manager and he can’t spell Twitter let alone use it 🙂

pascal bosschaart: Who is the best player you’ve played with?
#SydneyFanChat You in training Pascal. Why are you on Twitter and not in rehab? lol (Glenn Hoddle)

Alex Wain: What do you think were the major flaws in the team last year & how have you address them?
#SydneyFanChat We lacked pace in front of third so that is key to our recruitment!

Ally Haining: ? Crooky you need to sign Will Haining current Captain of Morecambe FC…solid defence natural leader…
#SydneyFanChat You are not related to them by any chance are you?

Jovan Kljaic: Why haven’t you signed David Vrankovic?
#SydneyFanChat I know David well, I was with him in the Youth Team, will continue to monitor his progress

Daniel Wilde: Ian is Daniel Petkovski likely to see any 1st team game time this year? Excited in NYL last year.
#SydneyFanChat As I stated earlier everyone will have equal opportunity to play.

Michael Gullotta: Is Mallia an option to play centre forward similar to Messi’s role and are you looking at a more technically gifted defensive mid?
#SydneyFanChat Mitch Mallia is an option there. Can also play wide

Jason Garrett: What in particular do you look for in a player?
#SydneyFanChat Must have good technical ability and must be comfortable on the ball.

Ashley Pemberton: Are you desperately short of a left back?
#SydneyFanChat No, we have Petkovski, Fabio and Naumoff.

Adrian Markovski: What do you see as the idea position on the ladder at the end of the season, considering the current players & squad you have?
#SydneyFanChat Ideal position on the ladder 1st. We’ll be trying our best to win silverware but realise how difficult it will be

[m.d]: Do you think Hagi Gligor can contribute in any way to the senior team this season? Is he ready, or still a bit raw?
#SydneyFanChat Same as Sherlock and Petkovski, yes he’s raw but very talented and has the ability to contribute #SydneyFanChat

[m.d]: What would you like more, to win the first derby or FTT? 😉
#SydneyFanChat We want to win both!

Alex Wain: What happen to Antonis and his trial overseas? Will he still be a Sky Blue next season? Such talent.
#SydneyFanChat Had his trial and is back with us. Will be staying at Sydney FC this coming season

Alex Wain: Great to hear you want to make @SydneyFC a more attacking team, but would you prefer to win 1-0 or 4-3?
#SydneyFanChat I would prefer 4-3.

Nik Brankovic: Does Sydney FC have Wollongong in the plans this season or next year a lot of fans make the trip to Sydney repay the loyal please
#SydneyFanChat Sorry out of my remit, probably need to speak to higher authorities than myself.

[m.d]: What are you looking forward to most about the Sydney Derby?
#SydneyFanChat I’m looking forward to the atmosphere. A stadium full of competing fans is fantastic 3 points will be nice also

#SydneyFanChat @bosschaartp would be good but he is too busy with his rehab

Sydney FC Tweets: Who will be your choice to wear @SydneyFC captain’s armband this season and why?
#SydneyFanChat Too early to decide who the captain will be

Mitchell Chivers: Why the hell are you clogging my feed with this dribble
#SydneyFanChat Dribbling is an important part of football

Cameron Langdale: The fans loved Shannon Cole, why was he released?
#SydneyFanChat Was released before I took over.

Jared K: What will be your preferred formation this season?
#SydneyFanChat Preferred system is 1-4-3-3

Alex Wain: If you could have @SydneyFC play a friendly against any current team in the world, who would it be & why?
#SydneyFanChat Caymen Islands national team away. Great beaches and much more… Or Barcelona in Football terms.

Mendy Berger: Why are the games on Saturday? Sunday is way easier? And on Sunday we get better crowds?
#SydneyFanChat The dates of games are out of our control but game day is game day to me

[m.d]: Do you see Norwich staying up in the EPL this year?
#SydneyFanChat Yes. Comfortably!!

Stephen Armstrong: As a fan living Interstate I’m wondering will there be an option for fan meet and greets when the team plays away?
#SydneyFanChat Logistically it will be very difficult but we will look into it

Jamie Kingsman: If u had to pick a starting 11 today who would be in it?
#SydneyFanChat Would be unfair to choose at this stage. I want to see who will impress me in training first then I can choose.

Mendy Berger: Can we have something where the fans meet the players? And kick a ball around a bit?
#SydneyFanChat We will be having a Fan Day before the 2012/13 season begins

Pascal: Why did Sydney release mark bridge he was good for us
#SydneyFanChat Both Mark and @SydneyFC thought he needed a new challenge

[m.d]: Are you looking at A.Griffifths to be playing in CB next to Boss?
#SydneyFanChat Adam is comfortable at centre back or defensive midfield but centre back is his best position
