Sydney FC’s Westfield W-League team will open their campaign at home to Adelaide United on Sunday, September 14th at Lambert Park, Leichhardt (kick off 4pm).
The Sky Blues Ladies will be looking to go one better this year after narrowly missing out on the Premiership last season and falling at the semi-final stage against eventual winners Melbourne Victory in the finals.
Away trips to arch rivals Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers follow in consecutive weekends, before Sydney FC will entertain Champions Victory at Lambert Park on Monday, October 6th (5pm kick off).
“Our Westfield W-League team always get fantastic support every year and I expect this one to be no different,” said Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata.
“We’re playing a new home ground this season in Lambert Park in Leichhardt and there are a lot of exciting fixtures ahead.
“I’m sure it will be a close league again and I’d urge as many of our Members and fans to get out and support the girls where they can,” he concluded.
Due to Australia hosting the AFC Asian Cup 2015 in January, the upcoming edition of Westfield W-League season will kick-off earlier than usual with the opening round in September and the Final of the competition being played on Sunday, December 21.
