Hyundai A-League club Sydney FC will emblazon the back of its playing strip with the Queensland Premier-s Relief Fund phone number – 1800 219 028 – for Saturday night-s clash with arch rivals Melbourne Victory at the Sydney Football Stadium (7:30pm kick-off) to help raise awareness about the need to donate to the victims of the State-s floods.

The Sky Blues match against the Victory will be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports 2 at 7:30pm AEDT on Saturday night.

Additionally a host of Sydney FC players, including Alex Brosque, Mark Bridge, Terry Antonis and Hayden Foxe will be outside the SFS before kick-off (Gate A) collecting donations from fans attending the clash.

“What is occurring in Queensland is absolutely tragic and we want to take this opportunity to help in any way we can. We urge everyone to donate whatever they can afford to in this time of need,” Sydney FC CEO Edwin Lugt said.

“Sport is a great vehicle to help raise awareness and we want to use that to spread the number of the relief fund which is 1800 219 028 to as many people as we can.”
