Sydney FC have signed CEO & Founder of XVenture Mike Conway as the Sky Blues Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Mental Agility Coach for the 2017/18 season.
Sydney FC have signed CEO & Founder of XVenture Mike Conway as the Sky Blues Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Mental Agility Coach for the 2017/18 season.
Conway’s work with Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League squad came to the fore during the 2016/17 season as his program brought the best out of each individual to deliver a historic and record breaking Hyundai A-League double.
Conway’s XVenture works globally focused on developing EQ, resilience and mental agility with individuals, teams and organisations. They create and deliver fully tailored team and leadership programs for top brand name organisations from business, sport and entertainment, as well as an MBA program and first of its kind High Schools program.
Continuing on from his work last season he will work closely with Head Coach Graham Arnold to create and deliver a customised program for Sydney FC utilising a blend of techniques focused on building individual mental agility, development of closer connections between players and coaches for team effectiveness and efficiency.
The XVenture Leader said he was thrilled to be working closely again with the Sky Blues for their title defending 2017/18 season.
“It’s an honour to be back again and I look forward to working with Graham and all the players for what is set to be an exciting season,” he said.
“It’s such a joy to be part of a team which is so committed to being the absolute best and leaving no stone unturned.”

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend said he was pleased to have Conway on board for a further season.
“It’s great to have a Member of our title winning Sky Blue Family back for another season,” Townsend said.
“Mike’s & XVenture’s work with Graham Arnold and his squad paid dividends last season and I’m looking forward to seeing it further evolve in season 2017/18.”
