Sydney FC’s first team squad have enjoyed a team building dinner this week by attending the La Spiaggia Italian restaurant.
Sydney FC-s first team squad have enjoyed a team building dinner this week by attending the La Spiaggia Italian restaurant.
All of the players including new signing Lucas Neill and Italian marquee Alessandro Del Piero dropped in on the Coogee based restaurant on Monday night as part of their regular team bonding exercises.
“We are a very close team and you can see that by all the boys coming out here today. To see each other away from football is always good,” said striker Mitch Mallia, who is sponsored by the restaurant.
Mitch was shown how to make a cocktail behind the bar while defender Tiago Calvano who also has a player partnership with La Spiaggia, had a go at making a pizza with chef Luca.
“It looks easy but it-s not easy,” he said. “With Luca-s help it was good. I think the boys tried the pizza and they said it was very good – the best pizza ever.”
Owner Vince Lombardo was delighted to welcome the Sydney FC team to the restaurant.
“We‘ve always been passionate about Sydney FC,” he said. “We love the sport, we love the team and we love supporting our local based football players.”
