Over the last three weeks Sydney FC players have been hitting the phones urging all supporters to ‘Become a Citizen- and renew their membership for the 2012/13 season.
This Friday (1 September) marks the last day for fans to get the loyalty member discount.
Last week saw Ivan Necevski, Blake Powell and Vedran Janjetovic take to the phones as we urge all of Sydney to get behind the Sky Blues.
Rhyan Grant has also been in the membership department, and thoroughly enjoyed his time as a telemarketer.
“It was a really fulfilling experience; luckily enough I was able to get a few members to re-sign,” Grant said.
“I really enjoyed having a chat with the fans, they are the soul of the club, and it-s good to give a bit back to them.”
The fans were also really happy to get a personal touch from the club. George Stamell renewed his membership along with his wife after receiving a call from Ivan.
“I was always going to sign up, but it was great to get a call, which prompted me to sign up on the spot,” Stamell said.
Stamell also urged fellow supporters to become members, and attend matches live.
“I made the decision not to be an armchair watcher, it-s better for your health to see your team live and you get to enjoy the atmosphere,” he added.
Necevski, for his part, was thrilled to hear the feedback from supporters.
“These guys are the lifeblood for the club, and it-s great to hear there passion.”
With the season now only six weeks away, now is the ideal time to ‘Become a Citizen- and get on board with the Sydney FC.
