Sydney FC‘s A-League stars have delighted the children at the Sky Blues- adidas School Holiday Clinics by turning up at their training camp this morning to sign autographs and have pictures taken.

More than 100 youngsters are taking part in the club-s coaching programme over the first three days of this week and the grassroots boys and girls were given a chance to meet and chat with the players first hand.

“It-s great to see all of the kids here enjoying themselves and wearing the Sky Blue,” said club captain Terry McFlynn.

“It-s very important for us as players to come back to the holiday clinics and unify the club as one.”

“We started out playing football because we love it and to see the enthusiasm on these kids- faces today is fantastic.

“There have been one or two who have really impressed and the coaches have certainly identified them as future talent,” he concluded.

Sydney FC-s Community Officer Daniel Barret, who organises the clinics said: “We-ve been working on the four core skills of the game, dribbling, running with the ball, passing and shooting.

“They work almost individually learning those techniques and then later they put that into practice in games.”
