- WALDRUS GOAL – 6’ – A far post header finds the net for the home side.
- WEBER GOAL – 19’ – Weber cuts in from the left and blasts an unstoppable strike into the far side of the goal.
- SIEMSEN DISALLOWED GOAL – 39’ – Vine finds Siemsen with a fanstastic ball and the striker connects perfectly with her outstretched leg to put it home but the flag is up.
- OFF THE CROSSBAR – 79’ – The Reds hit the bar again as the Sky Blues throw numbers forward.
Two early Adelaide goals put the Sky Blues on the back foot after their second long distance away game in the space of a week, following last week’s 6-2 win in Perth.
The Sky Blues overcame, fought back, and a fantastic cross between Vine and Siemsen had the ball in the net but it was ruled offside.
Sydney FC remain five points clear at the top of W-League ladder and face Melbourne Victory in a potential Premiership decider double header on Saturday 20th March.

“We conceded a couple of goals early which was unfortunate, but I think our effort, particularly in the second half, and considering this is our second long trip in the space of nine days, was phenomenal.
“We’ve got time to rest now and be ready for our next game; the double header against Melbourne Victory on March 20th.”
