The count-down to Version 5 of the Hyundai A-League is underway and Sydney FC is rallying its fans ahead of the coming campaign, with the club kicking off its membership drive today in the lead up to the 2009/10 season.

Club membership is the best way for Sydney fans to support their side and with plenty of great value and variety built into this season-s membership packages, there-s never been a better time to belong in Sky Blue.

“Our members are extremely important to us and crucial to our future,” said Sydney FC CEO, Stefan Kamasz. “Plenty of hard work has gone into making sure we offer our fans a great entertainment package at an affordable price, and we-re looking forward to a strong response.”

Sydney FC recruited a record number of members in 2008/09 but is raising the bar even higher this season.

“The club is entering a new era, we have high and realistic expectations, and it-s an exciting time for the (Hyundai) A-League with the expansion of the competition to 10 teams,” explained Kamasz.

“There-ll be more quality football on show in Sydney this season than there has ever been before, and Sydney FC membership is the best way for our fans to ensure they enjoy all the action, and help grow the club at the same time.”

A wide variety of Sydney FC membership options are available, including family and corporate packages, at very competitive prices offering the equivalent of at least 3 games free, and a discount of up to 48% on normal match day prices.

This season there are 14 home games scheduled in the Harbour City – 4 more than last season, including a number of marquee matches.

Sydney FC will host Hyundai A-League debutant, North Queensland and Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler twice in 2009/10. The club will also play two home games against some of its strongest rivals, including the Central Coast Mariner and Adelaide United, and will end the regular season at home with a mouth-watering match against its fiercest rival, Melbourne.

In order to make membership as affordable as possible Sydney FC has introduced a new payment plan that will divide cost of membership into as many as five easy instalments, and is offering an Early Bird deal this season that will see those who purchase their membership before June 12 rewarded with a reduced rate that equates to an extra match free.
