Sydney FC To Host Foxtel Y-League Grand Final

Sydney FC will host the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Friday 31 January 2020 (Kick-Off 4:30pm (AEDT)) with the match broadcast on Fox Sports 505, Kayo Sport and MyFootball Live.

Sydney FC topped the Conference B table after they drew with their local rivals, the Western Sydney Wanderers FC last weekend, which gave them an unassailable 15 points with one match in hand over the second placed Central Coast Mariners who finished the Foxtel Y-League 2019/20 Season on 14 points.

Sydney FC will face either Adelaide United or Melbourne Victory from Conference A. Coincidentally, these two teams will meet in the final round of the Foxtel Y-League 2019/20 season at Epping Stadium this Saturday (Kick-off 10:30am (AEDT) with the winner progressing to the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final. If that match is a draw, Brisbane Roar FC will qualify for the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final courtesy of their superior goal difference.

FFA Head of the Leagues, Greg O’Rourke, congratulated Sydney FC for making the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final and thanked Fox Sports for once again broadcasting the match.

“Congratulations to Sydney FC for qualifying for the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final,” said O’Rourke.

“The Foxtel Y-League plays an important role in our player development pathway and has produced many of our current Hyundai A-League professional, some of whom have also gone on to become Socceroos,”

“This Foxtel Y-League Grand Final will once again showcase some of our best youth footballers from around the country.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Foxtel and Fox Sports for once again broadcasting the Foxtel Y-League Grand Final and also to Sydney FC and Netstrata Jubilee Stadium for hosting the match,” concluded O’Rourke.

 The Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final will be the first match of a double header with the Sydney FC hosting the Brisbane Roar FC in Round 17 of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season (Kick-Off 7:30pm (AEDT)).
