With seven points already on the board Sydney FC will look to consolidate its strong start to the Hyundai A-League season this Sunday when it hits the field at the Sydney Football Stadium against the in-form Wellington Phoenix.

While the Sky Blues have been busy preparing on the training pitch, Sydney FC-s MBF Community Team has also been hard at work, with the boys heading west to test the skills of the children in football-s heartland.

Community Officer Brendan Renaud headed to the Blacktown District, describing the Blacktown North and Blacktown West public schools as “two of the most enjoyable visits I-ve done. The kids were buzzing, it was great!”

Sydney FC-s other MBF Community Officer, Ryan Walsh, was just as pleased with his visits to the Liverpool area.

“All the schools were good but Liverpool West and Marsden Road primary schools were great for me,” he explained. “The kids were fantastic and genuinely love football.”

Reminder: Registrations are now open for Sydney FC-s MBF Holiday Clinics for the October school holidays where children aged 6 – 12 will learn skills from some of Sydney’s best coaches all at the clubs official training ground at Macquarie University. Each participant will also have the opportunity to meet some of the stars of Sydney FC and get their Sydney FC holiday clinic jersey autographed by their favourite player.
