Sydney FC goalkeeper Liam Reddy has been sent home from Wellington after admitting to drinking alcohol on the flight from Sydney.
Reddy has returned to Sydney today and will not take part in Sydney FC-s elimination final against Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium on Friday night.
Reddy will be charged with breaching Section 6.1 of the National Code of Conduct and will be provided with an opportunity next week to explain his actions.
Reddy will be replaced on the Sydney FC bench for Friday night-s match by the Sky Blues- NYL Goalkeeper Ryan Norval, who was part of the Sydney FC squad in the Round 3 win over Adelaide United in Adelaide.
Sydney FC will make no further comment on the issue.
