Sydney FC’s match against Western United tomorrow has been postponed following the decision by the Victorian government to enact a five-day lockdown.
The Sky Blues players and staff were headed for Sydney Airport when the decision was made and immediately returned home.
“It’s disappointing but these late changes are something we are used to and we know how to deal with it,” said Head Coach Steve Corica.
“We have to put the safety of our players and that of the public first in these situations."
Sydney FC's A-League Grand Final rematch against Melbourne City has been moved to Tuesday 23rd February, kick off 7pm AEDT at AAMI Park.
