Sydney FC’s Commercial Team has expanded with Gary Bevan joining the Sky Blues as the club’s new General Manager – Commercial Development.

Sydney FC’s Commercial Team has expanded with Gary Bevan joining the Sky Blues as the club’s new General Manager – Commercial Development.

The new role will see Bevan dedicated to selling hospitality, events and other products into the corporate market, allowing the Sky Blues’ Chief Commercial Officer Cameron Honey and General Manager – Commercial Partnerships Jessica Allan to focus on selling and servicing Sydney FC’s major partnerships.

Bevan joins the Sky Blue Family with fantastic experience selling for Twitch, broadcaster of the E-League, and Qudos Bank Arena where he focused on growing a successful hospitality program.

He also has excellent football experience having worked as a Business Development Manager at Nottingham Forest in the UK predominantly selling hospitality, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend welcomed Bevan to the Sky Blues’ Commercial Team.

“Gary will be a great addition to the Sydney FC administration team and he arrives with great pedigree,” Townsend said.

“The expansion of our Commercial Team will allow Chief Commercial Officer Cameron Honey and General Manager – Commercial Partnerships Jessica Allan to further engage with our Major Partners in a boost off the field.”

“I’m looking forward to working with Gary and I’d like to welcome him to the Sydney FC Family.”

Bevan said he was looking forward to getting to work with the Sky Blues.

“I leave Twitch during a very exciting time in the video game industry but relish the opportunity to drive forward the new commercial offering at Sydney FC,” he said.

“I am really excited to meet our corporate clients both new and old as soon as possible, and I look forward to making sure that Sydney FC’s hospitality offering is one of the best in the country.”

Bevan has commenced his role immediately.

Sydney FC kick off their Hyundai A-League season on Friday 19 October away against Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium (kick off 7:30pm AEST).
