The Sky Blues will meet the NPL NSW Men’s 1 side on Wednesday 1st August, 2018 at Ilinden Sports Centre in a 7.30pm kick off with the match broadcast live and exclusively on Fox Sports.
There will be a host of familiar faces for their first game in this season’s competition, with the Suns boasting a number of past Hyundai A-League players including former Sky Blues Daniel Petkovski, Bai Antoniou, Alec Urosevski, Trent McClenahan, and current Sydney FC Community Football Manager Paul Reid.
Head Coach Steve Corica said: “I’m pleased with the way the draw played out and I’m excited to get started in the competition.”
“Rockdale will be a great opponent first up and this is a good chance to get competitive minutes into the boy’s legs early at this stage of preseason.
“I’m expecting to succeed again in the FFA Cup and we’ll be giving our all to defend our title.”
A venue for the fixture will be confirmed in the coming days.
