The Sky Blues weathered an early press from the home side before dictating the tempo in the first half, with Sofia Huerta and Chloe Logarzo both going close inside the first quarter of an hour.

Remy Siemsen opened the scoring for the Sky Blues after 18 minutes with a powerful header off a Teresa Polias free kick, as Aubrey Bledsoe was then called into action, parrying a low drive from Elise Thorsnes.

With Sydney FC controlling possession, Veronica Latsko notched her first Sky Blue goal with a well-struck low effort after 30 minutes as Head Coach Ante Juric’s charges cruised into half time.

The tone for the second half was set only four minutes after the restart, as Chloe Logarzo produced a moment of quality with a world class finish at the near post off Caitlin Foord’s cross to put the Sky Blues three goals to the good.

Forcing the home side into a series of turnovers, Sydney FC continued to dominate proceedings, with Sofia Huerta putting the icing on the cake six minutes from time, curling home inside the box for her second goal of the season.
