Commanding Dutchman Pascal Bosschaart reveals he's been pleasantly surprised by the the standard of football at Sydney FC and says Adelaide United's Sergio Van Dijk will be in for a tough game against him on Saturday night.
Sydney FC defender Pascal Bosschaart has given his teammates the perfect boost ahead of Saturday's clash with Adelaide at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The centre half, who has made over 450 appearances in Holland's first division, believes the current Sydney team has the edge over most sides in the Dutch League, and says he's been impressed at how good the standard of football is in the A-League.
"In Holland they told me the A-League is not that good but I think its surprised me the level is quite good.
"And I think to be honest Sydney FC can beat most of the teams in Holland."
Bosschaart faces up to fellow countryman Sergio Van Dijk who will lead Adelaide's attack on Saturday and having watched the striker on TV back in his homeland he knows what to expect.
"He's not playing in the highest league in Holland but I know him very well, but he's playing probably to Megsy (Michael Beauchamp) and me so I think he has to look out for us as well."
