Sydney FC have completed the signing of central defender Zac Anderson on a one year deal.

The former Central Coast Mariners player will team up again with Sky Blues Head Coach Graham Arnold, and the 24 year old admits he is delighted to be joining the club.

“It’s a great move for me and I’m looking forward to working again with Arnie,” he said.

“Sydney FC has a fantastic support and are one of the Hyundai A-League’s biggest clubs, it’s a huge honour to be signing for them.

“I can’t wait to get started and meet my new team mates and I’m hopeful the club can again challenge for silverware this season.”

Anderson becomes Sky Blues Head Coach Graham Arnold’s fourth signing of the off-season following the arrivals of Andrew Hoole, Brandon O’Neill and Riley Woodcock.

“Zac has a lot of A-League and Asian Champions League experience and will serve us very well this season,” he said.

“Obviously I’ve worked with him before and I know the quality he has.  He will give us great depth and competition for places, and at 24 he is at a great age as well.

Anderson links up with his new team mates this week when the players return to training.
