“This is an outstanding opportunity for Sydney FC to showcase our brand and show the people of Western Sydney what we stand for,” CEO Edwin Lugt said.

“A lot of our members and supporters live in the area so to bring the Hyundai A-League and Sydney FC to their doorstep will make for a special evening.

“It is a great chance for the greater Western Sydney community to see likes of John Aloisi, Alex Brosque, Steve Corica and Simon Colosimo in action very close to home.

“The Cove, our members and supporters are excited about the game and we are expecting a big crowd which will make for an atmosphere that only football can provide.

“The Parramatta Stadium Trust has made everything that goes with holding an event such as this very simple.”

After a successful preseason campaign that saw the club play more than a dozen games throughout New South Wales, the match at Parramatta Stadium is a great opportunity for Sydney FC to engage with the wider Sydney community.

“We had two, three, four thousand fans turn up to our preseason games in suburbs like Campbelltown, Bankstown, Manly and Wollongong to name a few. Sydney FC has supporters right across the state,” Lugt said.
