Brett Emerton has described this Sunday-s match with Brisbane Roar at Allianz Stadium as a “real six-pointer” and believes it will be one for fans.

The Roar are level on 21 points with the Sky Blues and Emerton thinks the game is set up for the entertainers to perform.

“We-ve been going well over the last few months,” said the Socceroo who has recovered from a back injury and is available for selection.

“I think we-ve been stepping it up a level and we-ve shown improvement so hopefully we-ll keep that going in the right direction.

“Obviously it-s a massive game against one of our competitors for a top six spot so it-s a real six pointer and hopefully we-ll come out on top.

“It should be an entertaining game, they are starting to hit some form as well.”

Sydney will be wearing a community strip which will be auctioned after the game on the club-s website, with part of the proceeds going to the Children-s Medical Research Institute.

“It-s a really nice design, it-s a one off and hopefully it-ll get us three points,” said Emerton.

“The CMRI are doing great things for kids in this country and providing vital research into diseases and finding treatments and cures for them.”

Adam Walter, the Cove Member who designed the jersey said: “It-s hard to put it into words what it will mean. I-m pretty nervous and excited especially when I see the boys in the tunnel it-ll probably be quite surreal.

“But once they-re out on the field I-ll probably forget about all that and get behind them and hopefully I-ll get the three points.”

This game is another crucial fixture as the race for the Finals continues. The two sides are locked on 21 points each and a win would catapult the Sky Blues into the driving seat for Finals qualification. Your support at Allianz Stadium is vital and tickets can be bought from Ticketek starting at $25 for adults. See you there Sunday, 5pm kick off – don’t miss it!
