StarTrack Santa Hats A Hit

Adorning those in attendance, Sydney FC’s StarTrack Santa hats proved a big hit during Friday night’s clash at Allianz Stadium against the Newcastle Jets.

Purchased for a gold coin donation to charity, fans rushed to grab theirs from a number of Sydney FC’s Foxtel National Youth League players and StarTrack staff before having their photo taken with Santa at one of two StarTrack photo booths in the Stadium precinct.

Hyundai A-League players Riley Woodcock, Robert Stambolziev, Zac Anderson and Alex Mullen were also on hand to distribute hats and sign autographs for the fans as StarTrack helped kicked off the festive season in the Hyundai A-League.

In total, $5,426 was raised for charity Our Neighbourhood Trust with the funds going towards helping the socially disadvantaged, regional and indigenous communities and people living with a disability.

“It was great to see all the fans grabbing their Santa hats on Friday, they looked great,” said Riley Woodcock.

“To be able to help a charity such as Our Neighbourhood Trust is fantastic and I’m glad we’re able to put a smile on the faces of so many through such a simple gesture.

“It’s always great to get out amongst the fans and I can’t wait to see them all back on Boxing Day wearing their hats at Allianz Stadium as we take on the Central Coast Mariners.”

Sydney FC are next in action at Allianz Stadium on Boxing Day against the Central Coast Mariners (kick off 7:30pm). Purchase your tickets now and be in attendance for our festive clash.
