Sydney FC has been out in force this week visiting a host of grassroots football clubs throughout the city, helping to mentor some potential future Sky Blues stars.

The week started with Sebastian Ryall and Daniel Petkovski visiting Curl Curl FC, while Terry Antonis and Peter Triantis visited Bonnet Bay FC, with plenty of footballing knowledge passed down from the former Young Socceroos.

Tuesday saw three clubs host Sydney FC players for their training sessions. Pedj Bojic and former Socceroo Sasa Ognenovski were well received at Mosman FC, with the pair getting heavily involved with the juniors training drills.

Sydney FC-s first signing under Graham Arnold, Bernie Ibini, and Foxtel National Youth League Goalkeeper Anthony Bouzanis trained the Marton FC youngsters while Ivan Necevski handed down his wisdom alongside Hagi Gligor at Kenthurst and District FC.

Gladesville Ravens FC welcomed Rhyan Grant and Daniel Petkovski to Westminster Park on Wednesday while Heathcote Sports Ground was abuzz with excitement as Corey Gameiro and Josh MacDonald signed footballs and jerseys for the Heathcote Waratahs.

Lee Hay, the Minis Coordinator for Galdesville Ravens FC, praised the visit from the Sky Blues and said Sydney FC will definitely be welcome at Westminster Park any time.

“It was a great night,” said Hay.

“Both Rhyan and Daniel were very professional and friendly they were great with the kids and the feedback was just fantastic.

“The best thing on the night I think was the interaction with the kids. They were very open and friendly and approachable and that just added to the whole experience with the kids,” he continued.

“They-d absolutely be welcome again at Westminster Park and I hope Sydney FC will do these visits next year, we definitely want to be involved again.”

Thursday saw a halt to visits with the wet weather hampering trips to Bexley North FC and Loftus Rovers, however tonight Manly United and the artificial surface at Cromer Park will see Sebastian Ryall and Rhyan Grant take the juniors for two hours of training.
