With the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House setting the scene, Sydney FC unveiled their brand new PUMA Football home and away playing kits for the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season on Tuesday.
Held at Buckley’s, Circular Quay, Sky Blues stars Vedran Janjetovic, Terry Antonis, Shane Smeltz and Sebastian Ryall were led by their Captain Alex Brosque in modelling the new kits in front of media and 10 lucky Sydney FC competition winners.
The Sky Blues new PUMA Football home playing kit features a simple, premium design of a sky blue base complemented by a navy collar and sleeve cuffs. The shorts are navy with a block sky blue stripe running down both sides.
The away kit features a white base with sky blue sleeves and trim with sky blue shorts and a block white stripe on either side.
For those unsure of the Harbour City’s colour, “Sydney Is Sky Blue” is emblazoned on nape of the jersey with a silhouette of the Opera House while a silver star with the number “2” inside sits above the Sydney FC crest to recognise the Sky Blues two Hyundai A-League Championships.
Speaking at the Sydney FC x PUMA event Sky Blues Team of the Decade Member Sebastian Ryall commended the jersey’s design and said he can’t wait to play in the new strip.
“It’s great,” he said.
“A new start to the season, a new sponsor, it’s exciting times at the club and hopefully with this kit we can bring some success to the club this season.
“All the boys are really happy with how it’s come out. Both the home and away kits, we really like them, and I definitely think the fans will like them as well.”
Priced at $110 for adults and $100 for youths, the new PUMA Football home and away kits are available for pre-order now.
Pre-orders will be delivered by August 28th with the jersey’s appearing in-store on the same date.
