  3. Le Fondre Chance – 36’ – The Sky Blues talisman drags his shot just wide after being teed up by O’Neill.
  4. Kantarovski Goal – 41’ – Jets take the lead as Kantarovski bundles home after a goalmouth scramble.

  7. Le Fondre Chance – 56’ – Alfie wriggles free in the box and lets fly with a thumping effort that just goes over the bar.
  8. Ninkovic Chance – 57’ – The midfield maestro beats two Jets defenders before attempting a cheeky chip. To Moss’s relief the effort is just wide.
  9. Ivanovic Chance – 80’ – Agonisingly close as Ivanovic follows up on Tratt’s initial effort but Moss just does enough.

In a game where the Sky Blues dominated for long periods, the home side took the lead close to half time after the ball is bundled over the line by Kantarovski.

Sydney FC continued this dominance, having a number of chances most notably with Ninkovic’s brilliant chipped effort.

Unfortunately, the home side hit again against the run of play as Petratos was in the right place at the right time, slotting home after a deflection sent the ball his way to a near empty net.

In what was not to be our day, the result doesn’t affect Corica’s sides position on the ladder as the work to secure second spot was wrapped up last week.

Thanks to finishing in the top 2 for the third season in a row, Corica’s side gets the week off to focus on the vital AFC Champions League clash against Uslan Hyundai on 7th of May.
