The 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season was a fruitful one for Sky Blues right back Sebastian Ryall who achieved a number of personal bests as he played a part in easing Sydney FC into the finals series.

Ryall played a total of 21 games for Sydney FC this season, starting every game he played in, as he amassed a total of 1808 minutes of match time.

Ryall was heavily involved in a number of forays going forward and had the fifth highest number of touches throughout the squad, with 1102 touches, as well as an 81.5% passing accuracy as he tirelessly worked his way up and down the touchline for 90 minutes.

Ranko Despotovic-s injury time winner against the Phoenix, which sent Allianz Stadium into raptures, came courtesy of Seb Ryall-s cross with the right back notching five goals for himself; his highest ever goal return whilst playing in the Hyundai A-League.

Displaying Ryall-s attacking intent the 24 year old had a total of 20 shots at goal, the highest number of shots attempted out of all the Sky Blues defenders, with the former Australian U-20-s captain-s highlight undoubtedly being his goal against his former club Melbourne Victory in a 5-0 Sky Blues win on Australia Day.

In that game, Ryall picked the ball up on the right touchline before cutting inside a Victory defender, advancing towards the box. The Sky Blues defender threw in a couple of stepovers, beating another two defenders, before unleashing a shot with the outside of his boot that nestled into the bottom corner of the net.

That goal was one of three that Ryall notched against his former employers this season, with the defender seeming to have a knack for scoring against the Victory as he has amassed a total of four of his nine career goals against the Victory.

While winning a number of youth honours with the national set up, Ryall-s only honours to date with the Sky Blues are the dual Premiership and Championship that Sydney FC claimed in the 2009/10 season.
