On the eve of kick off for the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season, Sydney FC defender Sebastian Ryall has praised the Sky Blues preseason regime, promising there’s good things to come from the Sky Blues in season 11.

With nearly a full squad available for the first match Ryall is hopeful of delivering three points on the Sky Blues return to Allianz Stadium against Melbourne City FC on Saturday 10 October.

“Preparations have been really good, we’ve had a couple of trips away and everyone is fit,” Ryall said.

“There’s a couple of boys away with the Olyroos and Young Socceroos but apart from that all the foreigners are fit and ready to go so it’s definitely been a positive preseason.

“Preseason is never enjoyable for a player, it’s a lot of hard work,” he continued.

“On the back of last year we’ve come a long way and we want to build on that. We’ve recruited really well in terms of bringing in new players so there’s definitely good things to come from this squad this season.

“We had a practice game at Allianz last week. It was good to get back out there, the pitch looks good and hopefully we can get a win for the Members and fans for the first game.”

While one of the senior players in the squad and a leader on the field, Ryall says he feels no more pressure than normal when he steps out for the Sky Blues on match day.

“I don’t think there’s any more pressure than usual,” he said.

“When you play for Sydney FC you’re expected to win and do well and I think now that we’ve got the players and coaches that can do that you expect success.

“We want to be winning and at the top of the table and I don’t see any reason for us not to.

“I think we just want to improve on last year,” he continued.

“Realistically we can win the Grand Final, it’s just a matter of getting the results. Last year our home form wasn’t as good as we wanted to be so I think if we can improve on that it will take us a long way to winning something this year.”
