Firstly, congrats on the call up, how does it feel?
I am ecstatic, over the moon and SO excited this truly is the realisation of a lifetime goal and dream - just so, so excited!
It’s your first senior call up, was it something you expected?
I have always hoped and framed that I would get the call up and now it has happened I’m just so happy and grateful.
I woke up to all these missed calls and messages and then ran into my parents room at the crack of dawn and woke them up with the news. That’s when the waterworks started.
It’s such a huge opportunity. I won’t be taking it lightly.
You’ve been aiming for a Matilda’s spot for a while, what do you put the call up down to?
I think it’s come down to constantly working hard and not ever giving up on that dream - lots of extra training and hard work.
How has Sydney FC helped you on the way to this call up?
Sydney FC has always been so supportive of me and my goals.
They have provided a professional environment to push me and extend me so that I can continue to grow as a player - their support has been immeasurable and I am so grateful to [CEO] Danny Townsend, [Head Coach] Ante [Juric], the coaching staff and to all my teammates who provide incredible opportunities to grow my game.
What are you expecting in your first Matilda’s camp?
I know it will be tough lots of hard work and a steep learning curve, but I am pumped and ready to give it my all.
What are you hoping to get out of this camp?
I am hoping to extend my game and improve skills both on and off the pitch and obviously I will be hoping to debut as a Matilda.
What would it mean to you to make your Matilda’s debut?
Absolutely everything - it truly has been a lifelong goal and dream to play for the Matildas and today had been the best day of my life to date knowing that I’m one step closer to realising that opportunity to debut.
