Quick Catch Up: Matt Jurman

Ahead of tonight's clash against the Bluewings at the 'Fortress', we caught up with former Sky Blue and current Suwon player Matt Jurman to get his take on the clash and Group H.

Although out injured for Wednesday's encounter, Jurman will still be keeping tabs on the clash from Korea as he continues his rehab following a knee operation ahead of the new K-League season.

1- Your two sides going head to head, how does that make you feel?

It would have definitely been a special night for me to be back at Allianz but even though I’m not going to be there I’m still really looking forward to watching the game.

2- Disappointed to miss out through injury?

Of course! It was something I was looking forward to when we found out who our opponents would be in the group so to be disappointed is a understatement.

3- Do you still keeps tabs on Sydney FC, what are you expecting from us?

I try and watch all the games when I can. Obviously their confidence is going to be sky high and with good reason. I enjoy watching the boys and seeing the front four and the chances they’ve created this year, as well as being very fit and a well drilled unit.

Jurman is hopeful of seeing his current and former side progressing to the Round of 16.

4- What are you expecting your side to produce on Wednesday night?

I think the boys will give everything they’ve got not easy with the season not started yet but I'm expecting a good performance and I’m looking forward to seeing the new players play as I haven’t seen too much of them yet.

5- Thoughts on the team's in Group H?

I think it’s quite a tough group to be in, every team has a successful history. Every game is going to be a good test for ourselves but hopefully the two teams going through to the Round of 16 are Suwon and Sydney.
