MATCH REPORT: Fantastic Youngsters Claim Sydney Derby

NEWS: Corica Heralds Young Star

A great way to start your Sky Blue career with a goal and Derby win, how pleased were you with that?

Yeah, obviously I was super happy to score a goal on my debut game with the club. To get the three points on derby day at Bankwest Stadium as well, that just tops it off.

How do you think you’ve settled in at Sydney FC?

I think I’ve definitely settled in great at Sydney FC, not only with the style of play that Ante [Juric] enforces but with the players that he has chosen. I’m feeling very comfortable and super excited to be playing with such a great team.

Friday’s game against the Jets should be interesting, what are you expecting there?

The players that Newcastle Jets have this season are nothing but quality players so I’m expecting an intense game.

What are the feelings like coming up against a former club of yours?

I have so much respect for Newcastle Jets as a club and as a team. I have so many great memories from Newcastle so I’m looking forward to playing back there in a familiar setting against some great girls.

After the start you had in Round 1, what expectations have you set yourself?

Obviously being a striker, I’d always love to score more goals, and even push for the golden boot. I’m hungry for goals, as is our whole front line. I’d love to keep building with the team and continue on from Round 1. I’m very excited for what’s to come.
