Sydney FC-s potential stars of the future have described the club’s Easter Talent ID clinics as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”, after lining up alongside some of the current squad.

The young footballers completed the three day course run by Sydney FC-s professional coaches this week, and a select group was invited back for a final day of training, who will be monitored throughout the club season.

“I felt great, it-s a once in a lifetime opportunity to play against the first team,” said John who had travelled from the south coast of NSW to attend.

Fellow trainee and Sydney FC fan Patrick also gave the clinics the thumbs up, “The course was a lot of fun and it was good learning all the new skills that I haven-t done before.”

Community Development Officer Daniel Barrett was also happy with the standard of players and coaching on show.

“Once again the clinics were a big success,” he said. “We were very happy with all of the players who took part.”

“Not only did they work hard but they also improved over the course of the three days and we’ll look forward to having them back at the next clinic.”

“We also had a lot of positive feedback from parents about the lectures we gave and the standard of coaching, so we are very happy with the outcome,” he said.

Sydney FC-s next Talent ID and High Performance clinics will take place in July. Keep checking the website sydneyfc.com for more information.
