Sydney FC have secured the Minister for Sport and Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres MP as guest speaker at the Sky Blues Hyundai A-League 2015/16 Season Launch lunch at The Westin, Martin Place on Thursday 8 October.
As a Member of New South Wales Parliament, Ayres will discuss his political life having been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 19 June 2010, representing the electorate of Penrith. Most recently Ayres announced the commitment of $1.6 billion towards stadium redevelopments across Sydney, including Allianz Stadium, ANZ Stadium and Pirtek Stadium, assuring the Sydney public of three world class sporting venues.
Sydney FC Chairman Scott Barlow said he was pleased to have Ayres as the guest speaker at the Sky Blues season launch for season 2015/16.

“Over the years Sydney FC in Business lunches have developed a reputation for attracting Australia’s most successful industry leaders as our guest speakers and I am delighted that for the first time we welcome one of New South Wales’ most senior politicians to the event.
“Stuart is currently leading the largest overhaul of major sporting infrastructure in Sydney’s history and this is a unique opportunity to get an insight into these exciting stadium plans.”
Stuart Ayres MP said he was looking forward to speaking in front of supporters of one the most successful original Hyundai A-League clubs.
“Sydney FC is now firmly established as one of the most successful foundation clubs in the A-League competition,” he said.

Guest speakers at the Sydney FC in Business lunches to date have included Frank Lowy AC, Mark Bouris, Andrew Forrest, Harold Mitchell, Jeffrey Browne and Ahmed Fahour and provide guests with an opportunity to hear from some of the leading business minds in Australia and the World.
This season there are two lunches scheduled, with the first set to be held on Thursday October 8 2015, at The Westin on Martin Place between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Here, attendees will see the new season launched ahead of the Sky Blues kick off on October 10 against Melbourne City at Allianz Stadium, as the entire Sydney FC squad will be unveiled including international marquee, Filip Holosko, fellow new import Milos Ninkovic and a host of returning stars including Milos Dimitrijevic, Jacques Faty and the second highest all time Hyundai A-League goal scorer, Shane Smeltz.
