“She’s an unbelievable player, she’s scored winning assists in the World Cup, you can just tell she’s class, world class.”

Sydney FC striker Sarah Walsh says World Cup star Megan Rapeino has given the team an even greater threat as the club look to win back their W-League crown.

The US international will play the first two games for the Sky Blues as a guest player after arriving in Australia for a holiday.

Sydney will once again be among the favourites for the W-League championship, kicking off their title challenge this Saturday against reigning champions Brisbane Roar at Leichhardt Oval.

“She-s an unbelievable player, she-s scored winning assists in the World Cup, you can just tell she-s class, world class,” said the Matilda-s striker.

“She-s left and right footed and actually doesn-t know which foot she plays with, which is actually very rare in the female game. She-ll be able to add that spark from the left, get crosses in and she likes to cut in as well and she-ll be looking to score a couple of goals.”
