One lucky member has scooped the enormous prize of Brett Emerton’s first every signed Sydney FC shirt, after beating two others fans in a corner kick challenge.
New Sydney FC Bronze Member Dean Bennett from Pyrmont was one of three supporters drawn at random from all our 2011/12 members, who took part in the half time competition during the Gold Coast United game.
Dean was joined by Lisa Ratcliffe from Hunters Hill and Scott Perry from Ryde and came out the winner after placing his corner kick closest to the penalty spot.
“It’s fantastic actually, it’s a surprise. I didn’t expect this to happen to me tonight and it’s great.
Asked whether he thought he’d hit his shot well enough he said, “I think so – just. It was pretty close – just well enough.”
