Reigning Champions Sydney FC will kick off their title defence in a rematch of last year-s grand final against Melbourne Victory at Lakeside Stadium this Sunday the 10th of November in the “big blue”.
Sky Blue-s and Young Matilda-s forward Chloe Logarzo was confident ahead of the opening clash and has set her sights firmly on becoming the Premiers this year.
“It-s going to be a great way to start the season,” Logarzo said.
“We will put in everything we-ve picked up at training. We just have to be consistent this year and follow the steps we took last year in reaching the grand final.
“We-ll definitely try and win the league again. We want to top the table and become Premiers.”
Sydney FC has recruited well in the offseason and Logarzo believes these new signings will only improve an already successful Sky Blues squad, lined with national team players.
“I think it-s good. It adds depth into our team,” she said.
“I think our team has a lot of quality with young Matildas, Matildas and ex-Matildas so that gives us great versatility.
“Our fitness levels have been up and preseason has looked very good.”
The Sky Blues will also feature in the mobcast International Womens Club Championship in November, having qualified after winning the Westfield W-League last season, and Logarzo was confident ahead of their maiden IWCC campaign.
“I-m looking forward to the Japan tour,” said Logarzo.
“It will bring our whole squad together and hopefully we put on a great performance.”
