Hyundai A-League 2010 Champions Sydney FC has thrown its support behind fellow SFS tenants the Sydney Roosters ahead of Sunday-s NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final, sending the Tri-Colours a message of well wishes.

After the Sky Blues were crowned A-League Champions in March this year, Roosters coach Brian Smith personally congratulated Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka and his side on their achievement, a gesture that was greatly appreciated by the Sky Blues coach, players and club staff.

Every Sydney FC player and coach signed a message of support to the Roosters with the letter delivered to Roosters HQ this afternoon.

“We would like to show our support for the Roosters and Brian Smith and wish them good luck for the Grand Final,” Lavicka said. “We know how difficult making it to this part of a season is and how hard they have worked so from my heart we hope they have success.”

“I sincerely appreciated his words after we won the Championship last season. It was very kind.

“They are professionals. We see that very often as we share the same home ground and we can relate them and their club. What we have done is a small way we can let Brian and his side know we are supporting them.”
