Kids enjoying learning from stars

Sydney FC’s community program Scoring4Health is well underway. After 3 weeks the kids involved at Merrylands Primary and Old Guildford Public Schools have learnt a host tips about nutrition and exercise.

Sydney FC-s community program Scoring4Health is well underway. After 3 weeks the kids involved at Merrylands Primary and Old Guildford Public Schools have learnt a host tips about nutrition and exercise.

Following on from the launch, week 2 the first practical component was delivered by players Mark Bridge, Hiro Moriyasu, Stuart Musialik and Stephan Keller. The kids were in taught the official Sydney FC rhythmic warm-up routine.

The students were then put through their paces with a series of games based around the theme of “Movement made Fun-.

Week 3 saw the first nutrition module delivered whereby the key theme was making healthy food choices. Students Took part in a shopping game where they had to select foods and place them in the categories of foods that can be eaten everday, eat sometimes and foods that should be limited to once a week or less.

Next week will see the kids learn about why water is the best drink and will have a lot of fun in the process….
